Joint Programs

Eastern Kentucky University is a member of two consortiums of colleges that provide study abroad experiences. The Kentucky Institute for International Study (KIIS) and the Cooperative Center for Study Abroad (CCSA) both offer a wide variety of opportunities for students from member universities to study abroad.

The Kentucky Institute for International Study (KIIS) offers a wide variety of opportunities in non-English speaking countries. Only a few programs require previous foreign language skills, and many offer language instruction at different levels. Both semester-long and five week summer programs are offered, and courses are offered in many fields.

Programs are currently offered in:

Cooperative Center for Study Abroad (CCSA) offers summer and winter programs (from 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 weeks in length), semester-long programs, and internship programs in English-speaking countries.

Courses in the various programs differ from year to year but cover most fields of study at the university.
